Strength training our athletes allows them to being resilient to, and produce, force in all planes of movement. A certain amount of strength is necessary for each athlete, regardless of sport, to develop power and speed.

DEVELOPMENT
SPEED/POWER

Speed and power training is specific to the sport demands and the needs of the athlete. Reactive speed and explosive power are developed in phases that allow an athlete to obtain these in all planes of movement. 

SYSTEMS
ENERGY

Energy systems work specific to the demands of the sport. We aim to increase the amount of an athlete's power output, increase the duration of that output, and decrease the time of recovery to repeat that same output.

 IMPORTANT PROGRAM INFORMATION 

Recommended Seasonal Frequency

IN-SEASON: 1-2 Team Training Sessions/week

OFF-SEASON: 3-5 Athlete Training Sessions/week

  • TD (team development) sessions are team-specific . We have no cookie cutter format, we program for the team based on conversations with the coaching staff on limitations, goals, etc. Modifications are made for individual players based on limitations/injuries.

  • Sport-specific performance testing is available for each team pre and post program to show performance changes overall. This is to ensure progress and help evaluate the next step in development for the athletes going into their off-season. 

  • TD sessions are 60-minutes long consisting of 10 minute warmup and 50 minutes to complete their program. 

  • TD time slots are limited to 1 team at a time with 2 Professional Strength & Conditioning Coaches per group. Coaches are always helping, cueing, educating, motivating, etc.

  • TD programs are based around the team schedule, meaning sessions are optimized around the rest of the team demands that week (games, practices, etc.). Consistency matters in development so a weekly frequency of 1 or 2 sessions consistently will yield the best results. 

  • TD sessions are booked through the Khaos staff and can either be consistent time slot each week (priority slot), or booked in advance based on availability (flexible slot). 

  • TD SESSIONS ARE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE DUE TO ALBERTA RESTRICTIONS ON YOUTH SPORT.
