Strength training our athletes allows them to being resilient to, and produce, force in all planes of movement. A certain amount of strength is necessary for each athlete, regardless of sport, to develop power and speed.

SPEED/POWER

Speed and power training is specific to the sport demands and the needs of the athlete. Reactive speed and explosive power are developed in phases that allow an athlete to obtain these in all planes of movement.

ENERGY

Energy systems work specific to the demands of the sport. We aim to increase the amount of an athlete's power output, increase the duration of that output, and decrease the time of recovery to repeat that same output.

 IMPORTANT PROGRAM INFORMATION 

Recommended Seasonal Frequency

IN-SEASON: 1-2 Training Sessions/week

OFF-SEASON: 3-5 Training Sessions/week

  • AD (athlete development) sessions are athlete-specific . This means we hand write each individual program, and performance test, specifically for the individual. We have no cookie cutter format, we program for the individual based on limitations, goals, sport-demands, etc. 

  • Sport-specific performance testing will be completed initially and after each 8-12 week period (athlete dependent). This is to ensure progress and help evaluate the next step in development. 

  • AD sessions are 90-minutes long consisting of 10-15 minute warmup and 75-80 minutes to complete their customized program. 

  • AD sessions are completed in small group settings (up to 8 athletes). Maximum athlete to coach ratio is 4:1 . Professional Strength & Conditioning Coaches are always helping, cueing, educating, motivating, etc. 

  • AD programs are written based on weekly frequency of an athlete, consistency matters in development. An agreed frequency must be met for any time frame of an athlete's training time so the coach can program effectively around that frequency. 

  • AD sessions are booked on the Khaos Athlete Development app. Athletes can book any session that has available spots. Doesn't matter when an athlete books their training sessions, as long as they adhere to the weekly frequency agreed upon.
